Meal Price Increase

Breakfast and Lunch Meals Price Increase
For the first time in four years, the price of school meals price will increase for the 2012/13 school year. The School District's last increase occurred in 2008. The price increase will be 10 cents for paid breakfast and lunch meals for elementary, middle, high and center schools; including adult meal prices. Breakfast will cost $1.20 in elementary schools and $1.30 in middle and high schools. Lunch will cost $2 in elementary schools, $2.35 in middle schools and $2.50 in high schools. For adults, breakfast will cost $1.80 and lunch would be $2.75.The reduced meal price of 30 cents for breakfast and 40 cents for lunch will not change.
The District's Food & Nutrition Services Department is self-supporting and non-profit. The revenue produced by the increase will ensure that the Food & Nutrition Services Department can continue to operate independently. All breakfasts and lunches offered in the School District are nutritious balanced meals that exceed all federal and USDA nutritional guidelines to promote healthy lifestyles.
